My career in hair began in 1986, when I trained at the L’Oréal Technical Institute in London. That’s where I truly fell in love with hair color—the chemistry, the artistry, and the ability to completely transform how someone feels about themselves.

When I returned home to the Pacific Northwest, I stepped into education early on, becoming a platform artist with the International Beauty Show Group’s American Team Y.E.S. That experience shaped how I approach this industry—not just as a stylist, but as someone committed to sharing knowledge and constantly evolving.

Over the years, I’ve spent over a decade each as an advanced educator with Redken and Aveda. Those roles pushed me to refine my understanding of color formulation, application techniques, and precision cutting at the highest level. Education has always been a cornerstone of my career—it’s what keeps the work fresh, relevant, and intentional.

In 2016, I was nominated for North American Editorial Stylist of the Year, and my work has been published globally in magazines like British Vogue, Estetica USA, Canadian Hairdresser, Dark Beauty, and Rolling Stone among others. Those moments are incredibly meaningful, but what matters most to me is the work I do behind the chair every day.

For me, hair is more than just technique—it’s about understanding the individual, their lifestyle, and how they want to feel when they look in the mirror. My goal has always been to combine technical mastery with thoughtful consultation to create results that feel both elevated and effortless.

After more than 30 years in this industry, I still approach every guest with the same mindset: stay curious, stay precise, and never stop refining the craft.
